Used motor oil is still a major pollutant of soil and water in the world. used motor oil   contaminates soil, and may contaminate wells. USED MOTOR OIL FROM A SINGLE OIL CHANGE CAN RUIN A MILLION GALLONS OF FRESH WATER. Used motor oil is insoluble, persistent and can contain toxic chemicals and heavy metals. It's slow to degrade. Used motor oil is a major source of oil contamination of waterways and can result in pollution of drinking water sources.

Used Oil becomes unfit for further use because of accumulating contaminants and the loss of
performance from oil additives. Waste motor oils are highly contaminated, viscous liquids that
contain, in addition to solid contaminants, water, fuel, and products from the "aging" of
hydrocarbons and decomposition of additives.

Used motor oil is often contaminated with lead (from gasoline), magnesium, copper, zinc, PCB's and
other heavy metals which are picked up from the engine. These heavy metals can contaminate our
drinking water and cause health problems.

Used Motor Oil: According to the U.S. EPA, used motor oil is any petroleum-based or synthetic oil that has been
used for vehicle lubrication. As a result of normal use, motor oil becomes contaminated with
various impurities such as dirt, water, chemicals or metals from your engine.  Some  governmental  
jurisdictions  classify used motor  oil as  hazardous. It  may  contain additives  (e.g. rust
inhibitors), contaminants (e.g. heavy metals generated through engine wear, or externally
introduced materials such as PCBs from old transformer oils), potentially carcinogenic, polycyclic,
aromatic compounds (from the fuel combustion process) or
glycol leaked from the cooling system.

Because of these "impurities," used motor oil should be handled with care and disposed of correctly
to ensure the safety of the local community, environment and waterways.
Used oil should not be thrown away. Although it gets dirty, used oil can be cleaned of contaminants so it can be recycled again and again. There are many uses for recycled used oil. Recycling of waste oil has potential to save the energy, protect environment and recycle the natural resources.
Due to waste oil contain too much contamination, including non-hydrocarbon, alkene, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon, metal hydronium, impurities, metal particles, asphaltene and colloid etc. and due to the traditional technology only can refine the waste oil to base oil, can’t use directly, so our company is researching the new technology about distilling machine, which can distill all kinds of waste oil into clean oil, easy to operation, and the lower operation cost. The purpose of waste distillation machine is re-refining industrial waste oil(including equipment lubricants, metal-working oil and process oil) and used automotive lubricants( such as engine oil, hydraulic oil and gear oil) to clean oil, then reuse it.


Used Motor Oil components:

  • BASE OIL:  The main component of Lube Oil. It does not ‘wear out', but simply becomes dirty.
  • DEPLETED ADDITIVES :  The additives in the lube oil lose their performance characteristics.
    • The main contaminants are:
    • WATER :  Fuel burns to CO2 and H2O. When an engine is cold the water created can pass through to the lube oil.
    • FUEL :  Unburnt  petrol / diesel passes through to the lube oil during engine start-ups.
    • CARBON: Forms as a result of incomplete combustion when an engine is warming up and passes through to thelube oil.
    • DUST: Small particles pass into the engine through the air breather.
    • METALS :  Due to normal engine component wear.
    • OXIDATION PRODUCTS:    Additive chemicals at elevated temperatures in the presence of oxygen can oxidize forming corrosive acids.

Re-refining of Used Oil has been practiced over the past 50 years. Among the 1st commercial approached for this, the ACID-CLAY Re-refining had been widely adopted in the past.

 

With the ever increasing awareness towards the clean & safe Environment, following new ECO Friendly Process producing higher yields of Re-refining Oils, we developed Technology that totally eliminates Acid Sludge as well as Filter Cake.

 

Such Process Technology has flexibility in Operation and Ideal for Used Oils containing high amount of Additives, Synthetic oil, Industrial oil or Marine oil.

 

Latest, Environment Friendly, Easy Operative Low Fixed Cost Technology developed by 3M3S Technology is -

 

NON ACID, NON CLAY BASED TOTAL DISTILLATION UNDER HIGH VACUUM & ELEVATED TEMPERATURE FOLLOWED BY SOLVENT TREATMENT WITH STEAM STRIPPING WITH CENTRIFUGING.

Type of Process Technology:
Batch in Continuous Run & Direct/ Indirect Heating. Option : Plant Based on same Process- Technology is well capable to Recycle Heavy Fuel Oil with switch- over facility.

 

WHY OUR TECHNOLOGY:

Some Conventional Technologies based on batch Process have already become outdated but some Environmental friendly Continuous type established Technologies are available in world market. But these Technologies are out of the reach of some entrepreneur due to having some Drawbacks: very complicated, huge buildings and capital investment. More repairing and maintenance due to big inventory. Outcome of Residue is in very high percentage i.e. 18% or more. Low Yield of Base Oil Very High Royalty and Consultancy fees.

Therefore, we decided to overcome all these drawbacks with the invention of their In-House Non Acid Non Clay Batch Type Semi Automatic, Most economical, Easy operative; Compact Waste Lube Oil Re-refining Process Technology, especially meant for small/medium-scale entrepreneur.


Process Steps of Technology: 
  1. Dehydration & Degassing of Used Oil under vacuum and mild temperature.
  2. 1st Distillation under high vacuum & temperature to separate Raw Base Oil Cut, Fuel Oil & Left over Residue.
  3. Mild Solvent Treatment and conversion of Raw Base Distillate to Base Oil SN 150 / 300 by 2nd Distillation under moderate vacuum & temperature.
  4. Recovery of Solvent used.
  5. Cooling & Centrifuging of processed Base Oil.
  6. Storage of Base Oil.

ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY PLANTS:

Our Process & System completely safe, meets and comply the Environment parameters stipulated by Authorities concern.

Such Technology will create no pollution in Air, Water and on Soil. There is provision for ‘Environment Treatment Plant’ to make complete Environment Friendly atmosphere. Considering table of Material Balance, Justification for ECO Friendly Process is as below:

    1. Base Oil, will be the main for sale Product.
    2. Light Fuel Oil, will be used within the self Furnaces.
    3. Water, coming out from waste oil will be re- used as make up water within process.
    4. Asphalt Flux (Residue) will be selling as in making Roofing Tile or as Asphalt Extender.
    5. Un-condensed Gases, will be converted into odorless- harmless Carbon-di-oxide and water to vent within ‘Environment Treatment Plant’ by means of Direct Combustion Chamber.

 

CLOSED LOOP: Close Loop from Engine to Re-refining and back to the Engine.

Used Oil drained from Engine to Collection to Re-refining to Neutral Base Oil to Blended Lube to Lube Oil added to Engine to Used Oil drained from Engine.
